PRIVACY POLICY
This is Beauty & The Buddha’s Privacy Policy, we are located at Ambleside Drive, Southend, SS1 2UF. This Privacy Policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you, and why we collect it.
What information do we need?
We need your contact details, your name, address, postcode and email address. We will also need
information about your age and health in order for a treatment to take place to ensure we pick up on any
contraindications for treatments.
Why do we need it, how will we use it and how long we will retain it?
We need all the details in order to ensure that it is safe for us to provide the treatment requested and for insurance purposes. We will store your details safely in a secure locked cabinet and only members of staff at Beauty & The Buddha will have access to it. The information will not be shared with any third party other than insurers if any claim is made. Our lawful basis for processing this personal information is “contract” – this means that that we have a legal reason to ask you for your data because we need it for contractual reasons. You do not have to share your personal details with us, but if you don’t we are unable to offer you any treatments with Beauty & The Buddha. You must fulfil your side of the contract (share your personal information) in order for us to fulfil ours (carry out the treatment and take bookings from you).
Marketing & Contact
In the future we would also like to send you information about the products, services and any special offers we are running by using the personal information you have shared with us, but you do not have to agree to this for treatments to be undertaken. believe we are not handling your data correctly you have a right to make a complaint and this should be
sent us to using the above contact details. If you are unhappy with our response you should then contact
the ICO (Independent Commissioner’s Officer) by contacting them directly or through their website

- A patch test is required for some treatments. This should be booked in at least 24 hours before treatment. This is mandatory and is required by my insurers. If you have a reaction to any of the products such as itching, stinging, swelling etc you you will not be able to have lthe treatment.
- I do require a 50% booking fee at the time of your patch test or reservation which will be taken off your treatment price or refunded if there is any reaction to patch test.
- I require 48 hours notice of cancellation and your Booking fee is non refundable if less notice is given and will be set off against lost revenue. If you miss your appointment or no show 100% of treatment cost is payable before any future bookings can be made as I will not be able to fill slots at such short notice.
- Please ensure your Lashes are free from mascara for eyelash extension and lash lift appointments. I cannot do an infill if you are wearing mascara because of the risk of infection. Lashes need to be squeaky clean. In this instance lashes will be removed and you can book in for a fresh set. You will be charged accordingly.
- If you arrive with less than 40% of lashes for an infill of lash extensions a full set will be chargeable.
- Please ensure you advise if you feel you will need a longer appointment as I normally book clients back to back. If you do not give me notice I may not be able to do extra work on your lashes. A 10 minute prep is included in your treatment to make sure your lashes are squeaky clean. If you wear mascara on your lashes I will have to remove and you will have to book in for a new set. Mascara will stick around the glue bond and if I lash over the top of this you will be at the risk of infection.
- Please book your infills well in advance as my diary gets very busy. I recommend booking infills at least 3/4 appointments in advance to ensure your lashes always look fabulous.
- Please arrive promptly for your appointment. If you arrive late you will lose time. If you are more than 15 minutes late your appointment will be rescheduled. This is to ensure my clients who do arrive on time are not kept waiting unnecessarily.
- Please note I do not not offer refunds for any services. However if there is anything you are not happy with this should be notified to me ASAP I am happy to fix or offer a free removal.
- Please do do not bring your children to the studio - this is a health and safety risk.
