LaStone Therapy & Indian Head Massage
LaStone Therapy is a wonderful treatment that involves the use of warm basalt and cooled marble stones. My basalt stones have been specifically harvested for LaStone treatments – they are volcanic, hold the heat like no other stones and carry a wonderful energy. The difference between a “hot stone massage” and a “LaStone massage” is the use of the hot and cold stones. This helps to create chemical reactions within the body encouraging fresh blood to the surface of the skin, increasing circulation and lymph activity as well as having both a sedative and energizing effect on the body.

Beautiful treatment including a spinal layout. Warm stones are placed along either side of your spine cocooning you in a sense of pure bliss. While you relax your legs, arms and shoulders will be massaged with warm and cool stones.

This treatment is ideal for clients who might be convalescing or contraindicated to a physical massage. Stones are gently tucked cocooning the body and allowing the client to bask in the energy of the stones.
Indian Head Massage - £30
A wonderfully relaxing treatment including massage to the back, neck, shouders, head and face. Hair should be free from product and freshly washed to ensure the most relaxing treatment.
Express Indian Head Massage - £17

So what does LaStone Therapy involve?
At the beginning of the treatment I will go through a detailed consultation with you to ensure that there are no health conditions which would contraindicate the treatment. We will discuss what you are looking to receive from the treatment, whether you have any specific physical or emotional issues or whether you have just come to me for a relaxing massage.
After the consultation I like to “smudge” my clients with Palo Santo wood which is known as "holy wood" and is a great energetic cleanser. I import this directly from Ecuador and it is a truly wonderful incense. This part of the treatment is entirely optional and if you would prefer that I leave out it out, that is fine. Personally, I think it puts you in the best possible frame of mind to receive a LaStone Treatment as I do work energetically with the stones.
Physical conditions can be prescriptively treated with LaStone Therapy and I will check in with you occasionally to ensure that the pressure and temperature of the stones are acceptable. It is important that you are really honest with me as stones can always be tweaked to ensure your complete comfort. Although the cooler stones might feel a little more challenging than the warm, they are crucial in a LaStone treatment and ensure that you get the best possible results. The use of warmed and chilled stones causes a chemical reaction within your body which can help with healing, increased blood supply to skin surface revitalising cells and gives a wonderful boost to all your bodily systems eg. endocrine, digestive, circulatory. Clients feel a wonderful sense of wellbeing after the treatment and often feel "zoned out". It is important that you drink plenty of water to release any toxins which will also help to ground you.
A spinal layout is included in most massages when lying on your back .which involves stones being selected for you to lie on (either side of your spine) to aid relaxation. If physical massage is not possible I would recommend a Castle Building treatment as you will still benefit from the energetic properties of the basalt stones and the cooler marble stones. This is a truly relaxing and therapeutic treatment which I am sure you will see the benefits of.
I have received fantastic feedback from many of my clients who have received a LaStone treatment. Some have come purely for relaxation purposes but others have come with physical ailments and the stones have had a great effect in relieving pain and swelling in limbs. The stones will also work on an emotional level too if you are going through a difficult time.
